Google Reader

Google Reader – Google’s new web based feed reader. Feels a little clunky to me….but then again what would I know about it.

  4. Yech… FoF 0.19 in frame mode is faster and more suited to how I like to read my feeds. Most if the time, I honestly don’t click over to the target web site, I just read down the right frame until something interesting shows up that is not completely shown in its little story box. With the Google Reader there is a lot of clicking involved and the initial grab and parse of the feed is really slow. Waiting with bated breath for FoF 0.5 or even just access to a prerelease of it.

  6. Yes, you and everybody else! There was a mini-revolt over the slowness of FoF progress at SF just the other day.

  8. That’s harsh, especially since it’s free and not your day job. I for one an grateful for this tool which has revolutionized my whole web experience. I haven’t found this level of speed, efficiency of space, and universal access in any other reader I’ve looked at, and I looked at way too many, having written off feed reading as too clunky before this came along. I’m sure once a taste of the new one will have everyone forget a time they ever used a browser without it. None of my comments should be taken as complaint, but as best flattery as I can put together.

  10. Steve, you could also pass the buck, point to the slowness of recent Magpie development :)
