Our new washing machine isn’t just going to wash our clothes. Thanks to its double hinged door, powerful direct drive system, tilted wash drum, patented RollerJets, and amazing 167°F sanitary cycle, it’s going to actually bring us TRUE HAPPINESS. At least that’s what the video that came with it said.

They were particularly proud of the double hinged door. I think the video said it was developed through “LG’s powerful technology”.

Sumana and I got one of the fancy energy-efficient washing machines and it actually is really nice. It just has a regular single-hinged door, but it comes with Calypso Wash-Motion.

Did you know there’s a problem with the Calypso? Maybe the problem has been fixed, but there were number of compalints and a lawsuit against this machine.
