  2. So, what do they call a quarter pounder, since they use the metric system? And “Royale with Cheese” sounds like a glorification of the decadent, plutocratic West covered in its own treachery represented by a sour, fermented dairy product.

  6. I take it 麥 is in the name only for the sound and not some wheat connection to McDonalds?

    We have metric in Australia, and Quarter Pounders too.

  8. Yeah, it’s just a phonetic transliteration. I always wonder though how much thought goes into choosing the words used though.
