欠 - Qian4 - Yawn, Lack, Owe

Why is it that the same word means “Yawn” and “Owe”?

Jenny says that this one doesn’t really mean “Yawn” by itself… you have to say 哈欠
- Ha1 Qian4 to mean Yawn.
