霓虹燈 – Ni2 Hong2 Deng1 – Neon Light

Jenny randomly started singing this song (lyrics) today. It includes this line:

台北不是我的家 – 我的家鄉沒有霓虹燈

Tai2 Bei3 Bu4 Shi4 Wo3 De5 jia1 – Wo3 De5 jia1 Xiang1 Mei2 You3 Ni2 Hong2 Deng1

Tapiei is not my home – My home town doesn’t have neon lights!

Later this week: We’ll complete the rest of the noble gases! Yay! Let’s see if Jenny can find a song that mentions Xenon.

  10. I wonder why that is. Does Chinese work on other sites? Maybe it doesn\’t support characters encoded as entities?

  14. It looks like from those screen shots that there\’s a lot more wrong than just the chinese! But it could be that it doens\’t support the unicode HTML entities, which is what I use instead of UTF-8 or BIG5.
