Another 鄭佩佩 - Zheng4 Pei4 Pei4 - Cheng Pei Pei movie tonight: 毒龍潭 - Du2 Long2 Tan2 - Poison Dragon Lake — Dragon Swamp. She’s in like all the old SB movies we watch, and more recently was in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Last year Walde and Toto went to some sort of Kung Fu movie convention where you listen to boring academics drone on about the deep cultural meaning and symbolism of fighting with stools, and she was there, sitting right next to them! They didn’t get any autographs or pictures or ask to get a commemorative beat-down though. Lamers.

yeah, she still looks great too, it’s amazing to think that she’s approaching 60. She seemed to be pretty genuinely nice, though she apparently has a habbit of trashing Chang Cheh, Jimmy Wang Yu, and Lo Lieh (who plays her brother in Dragon Swamp). I guess she holds a pretty big grudge against Chang Cheh for ending women dominated wu xia movies, and he was supposedly a sexist pig. And who could blame her for disliking Wang Yu…. But Lo Lieh??? What could you possibly have to complain about Lo Lieh? I think she said he was lazy. Just makes me like him even more.
