Chinese Word of the Day

- Fan1 - Foreign, (measure word)

番茄 - Fan1 Qie2 - Foreign Eggplant — Tomato

(and 番薯 - Fan1 Shu3 - Foreign Potato — Sweet Potato)

One of the cherry tomatoes turned bright red, so we ate it! It was great! I declared it to be of the highest possible grade, “SALAD GRADE”. This wasn’t any “COOKING GRADE” or “SAUCE GRADE” tomato.

The tomatoes haven’t been eaten by Rabbit Rabbit yet. Maybe he’s been scared away by 黑喵咪 - Hei1 Miao1 Mi1 - Black Kitty, the cat Walde mentioned yesterday that comes to our yard sometimes. I think whoever lived here previously was feeding him, our first few days in this house he was very friendly with us and kept tyring to come inside.
