腔調 - Qiang1 Diao4 - Cavity Tune — Accent

Jenny finally got me the Chinese CDs that have been sitting on my wishlist for ages as a graduation present. I already know 90% of the vocab on this set, but we’re hoping it will help me with my fluency and pronounciation, especially being able to hear and say the infamous tones. A minor problem is that the lessons are all given in Chinese with a Beijing accent, which is pretty different from the Taiwan accent that Jenny and her family have. It’s kind of like learning English to speak to Americans, but learning to speak with a Cockney accent.
