My favorite was 甲龍下目 – Jia3 Long2 Xia4 Mu4 – Armor Dragon Under Eye — Ankylosaurus.

(Lots of dinosaurs have 下目 in their name. I don’t know why! It doesn’t seem to mean anything, and I can’t think of what it could be a phonetic translation of.)

  4. BTW, 甲 has more meanings such as:

    1.number one
    2.the first of the ten Heavenly Stems used by the ancients to designate years, months, and days in combination with the twelve Earthly Branches
