James points out that in writing, there is a separate character for she or her: 她.
祂 for GOD.
牠 for non-human animals.( but I think sometimes 牠 just represents anthropocentrism and specism of human in chinese.)
你 for male
妳 for female
but it\’s ok to use 你 for \”YOU\”.

Both of these pages suggest what Jenny has been telling me: All these \”fancy\” versions of He and You are relatively recent inventions, and due to western influence.
