He must have a diferent version as steve said. Hey, I think this guy might be playing at one of those huge church complexes, you know, with the Gyms and crap…or he could be at one of those huge fitness/etc places. or he could just be some rich kid with a gigantic house. I figured out the song!!! it took me a week, but I checked it and I got EVERY SINGLE note perfect, an exact copy of how that guy plays it! Here is how I figured it out (it really helps to have either a laptop, or a keyboard)…

1) I saved the video to my desktop so that it could be viewed anytime. Then I went to Brian\’s Video Game Sheet Music webpage (the link is at the top) and downloaded the mario sheet music in the NWC form. This stands for Noteworthy Composer, which takes any midi file and turns it into sheet music. If you don\’t already have the program, you\’ll have to download it. Free, easy, and really fun. I highly recommend it.
2) I have a laptop, and a stand up piano, so I placed the laptop on top of the piano, with the video pulled up and started watching it. From there, I just copied what the guy played. I listened and watched him play the left hand, and saw that he started with a D octave, so I did that. That\’s all there is to it. The only problem is that it gets really hard to copy him on some parts, especially because his fingers block the keys. This is where noteworthy comes in.
3) At this point, pull up noteworthy and listen to the file (it gives you a playback option). the guy\’s version is somewhat different then the sheet music (kinda easier if you ask me, due to less chords), but if you get stuck, just keep examining the video and the sheet music, listening to them and just reevaluating them over and over. It\’s difficult as hell on some parts, but possible. I\’m living proof.
4) Don\’t give up!!!!! A couple parts are really hard to get the rhythm on, but its so rewarding when you finish the song. Trust me, keep going. Even if you can\’t play it as fast as he can, just start slow to get it right, and gradually build up speed.

umm also i noticed that you spead up a little at the beginning and also you messed up on like one note in the beginning-middle area, but over all its really good…..better than i can do :P its hard to play this on a trumpet :P i mess up on the triplet parts :P but practice makes persfect :D

He’s pretty good at the piano. I’ve learnt the main Mario Theme and it knocks the socks off any Chopin Sonata. It just about measures up to Beethoven.

Hey.. he’s good, but it’s really not that complex. I’ve played piano for 10 years and was top 10 in Texas.. try Listz’s Hungarian Rhapsody #2… anyways, does anyone know where to get more music? If you’ll watch his fingers and listen, he doesn’t play the music on the sheet music above. The sheet music above is simpler.
