研 – Yan2 – Grind, Research
I need to pick a topic for my 研討會 – Yan2 Tao3 Hui4 – Research Discuss Meeting — Seminar. It turns out my advisor is into the whole Semantic Web thing, but I’m not sure I like that stuff. She likes RDF, how about RSS? Last semester I got off easy by just turning in Ball Universe, maybe this time I can just turn in Feed on Feeds.

Well, we people in Taiwan usaully use the word \’conference\’ to translate what \’Yan2 Tao3 Hui4\’ is.

Thanks for that data point. Conference, Seminar, Symposium… I barely know the difference even in English.
